Two Roads Coffee Packaging

Two Roads Coffee set out to redefine what a wellness beverage could look and feel like. By combining adaptogens with specialty grade coffee, the goal was to create a product that delivered both ritual and health benefit in one cup. The challenge was to communicate these functional benefits without resorting to clichés or clutter, and to position the brand as a premium choice for modern professionals who care deeply about both performance and wellbeing. The identity needed to feel pure, intelligent, and inspiring while holding its own in a competitive retail landscape.

Approach

The creative solution was born from the idea of “elevating your morning.” At the heart of the brand is a window motif rendered as a soft gradient, symbolising an outlook to a clear sky, calm ocean, and clear mind. Each variant is identified through a refined gradient colour system — green for Hemp Calm, beige for Lion’s Mane Focus, and purple for Turkey Tail Immunity. The design embraces minimalism, with generous white space, precise typography, and an almost clinical sense of order that speaks to purity and focus. The gradients inject a quiet optimism, ensuring the range is approachable yet elevated. Every visual decision was crafted to invite the consumer to pause, breathe, and begin the day with intention.

The identity for Two Roads coffee is designed to be elegant, simple, and versatile, featuring a few variations for different contexts. The central ‘T’ symbolizes a crossway, representing the choice of different life paths, encapsulated in an oval shape that also resembles a coffee bean. This cross-way design is subtly integrated into the ‘T’ of the logotype, emphasizing consistency and attention to detail for a cohesive brand identity.

Since launch, the rebrand has sparked nationwide distribution expansion and captured the attention of athlete influencers whose lifestyles align with the brand’s values. On shelf, the packaging stands apart through its calm authority, projecting both trust and aspiration. Consumers have responded with loyalty and advocacy, recognising the design as a visual embodiment of clarity and wellbeing. Retail partners have praised its ability to command attention without shouting, turning an everyday coffee purchase into a mindful moment.
